A day in my life...

So sad...

Simple Scrapbooks was my favorite magazine.

 
 The key word in the last sentence is...."was."
 They are no longer going to publish it. I found out about it by going to one of my favorite blogs...    "Altogether...too happy."  

Then I went and picked up my other  favorite magazine called "Digital Scrapbooking" by CK Media and found out it is also iscontinuing the print version and going totally digital.   The whole world is going tech/digital...will  there be any print newspapers or magazine in the next 10 years?  I wonder....

Happy Thoughts. Today.

My happy thought today is that sometimes it's fun to be all by myself!

My hubby is at the Giants Football game and I'm all toasty and warm here by the fireplace!
Ahhh!

A new year....

It's January 5th and I haven't picked out my "word" for the year.  Ali Edwards has a challenge and picks a new word every year.  The list of words is long and has words on the list like...

Adore. Adventure. Affectionate. Affirmative. Allow. Appreciate. Aspire .Bounce. Boundaries. Brave. Breathe. Brevity. Brighten. Calm. etc.

And I feel like I should pick a real "meaningful" word that is "different" and "unique"  and "creative" just like me.  But the only word thatl captures me is "happy" and I feel like that is what I want to pick out of that huge list of words.  I know my word could be deeper...but "Happy"  fits with my new project called "happy thoughts {today}.  So my word for the new year is "happy" and you'll be seeing alot of it!!!!

Shopping Online...

I admit it...I'm a shopaholic. The good news is that I've stayed away from the mall...and even Target with all the great sales and everything.  I don't need anymore clothing because I'm trying to loose weight...so there really isn't anything for me to buy right now.  Especially after Christmas.  Speaking of Christmas...I forget to show you the pictures of my gifts...well I haven't downloaded them yet...that's MONDAY {PHoto Day}!

The bad news is that you can shop online now. I didn't buy anything, but...
I'm stocking up on links to things I might want to buy!

Hopes and Dreams and Pictures

One of my hopes and dreams this year is to really organize my photos...my kid's photos...and my current digi photos.  I really think it is important to at least have them in albums.  Last year I took hundreds of photos and I am going to try and scrapbook one-a-day. Sort of like my Project 365!  That's a really BIG dream and I think I can do it...at least I hope I can!

Happy Thoughts No. 1

I have a couple of new projects this year. 

One is called Project 365 and you can read about it here. Basically you take a picture each day and when the year is done you have an album of 365 pictures.  The key is to take pictures of ordinary life.  So here is the main problem.  I take the pictures but I don't download them "right" away.  So I'm going to pick a day each week to do the downloads and create a weekly "snapshot" of my life which is a culmination of the daily photos...but not posted daily...kwim?  Well it works for me.
I've been taking some interesting shots and I'll share them with you tomorrow...maybe! lol!

The other project I've got started is called "happy thoughts. today" which is something I am creating for my digital scrapbook shop.  Here is a sample of one of my "happy thoughts."

Happy Birthday...

to Me!

It's my birthday today!  It started out as a happy one...both of my kids called today to wish me a happy birthday! I'm heading off to Skaneateles to celebrate the day with my hubby who has planned "spa" day for both of us!    I consider myself very lucky to have such special people in my life!

Here's my birthday breakfast and a present to myself.  I bought this mug at Starbucks and I was was going to take it back...because I have lots of mugs and I really don't need another one.  But I really liked the happy green glaze inside the mug and the message on the mug is so appropriate for today..."GROW."  So I decided to keep it today and I poured a cup of coffee in it this morning to celebrate this HAPPY day!   I hope to have many more birthdays with more time to "GROW" and learn and live and love and laugh!!!
