Do you remember when you were a kid and how you felt about your first day back to school?  It was always hard to get to sleep and stay asleep!  I remember being filled with anticipation.  What was my new teacher going to be like?  Would he/she (usually a she) like me?  What friends were going to be in my class?  There was no computer, no facebook, no twitter, no email, no text messaging, and in fact I wasn't really "allowed" to use the telephone (rotary dial) unless I had a reason to!

Times have changed...but some things never change!
Fast foward 40-50 years and I'm still filled with anticipation...and up early because I couldn't sleep!  lol!  Imagine that! Heading back to school today and I feel like a kid all over again...and that's a good thing!

Winners of August Black + White Challenge!

Here are the winners of the Black + White Challenge!  I am truly honored to have so many people participate in the challenge and actually use the quick page for their photos!  I am always amazed at how the scrappers took the challenge and made it their own.  Some added elements, others reversed the page layout, and some added their very own journaling to make it totally unique!

Clearance Sale!

Going through my shop at Oscraps this past week, I realized that there was a need to condense and reorganize some of my products. Today there a three new clearance bundles in the clearance bin! I have bundled them in groups of 9 products for only $2.95/bundle.  They will be retired on August 31, together with my other clearance items.  Honest! This is the last time you will see them...so if you've been on the fence and wanted to get some of my products at a very REASONABLE price - now is the time.

"JOY DEFINED + DESIGNED."  I've been working all summer to bring you the first of my art journal series and it will include video tutorials and a project for you.  I've always wanted to start a diary,but I decided I was too old ; ) So instead, I am starting a digital art journal filled with my favorite quotes and color together with some snapshots or favorite photos. It will be available in a 8.5x11 format (with digital and printables) for those who want to print it right from their printer or local printing store. I'm addicted...

That's right! I'm absolutely positively addicted to the monochromatic look of black and white!  This morning I started playing and I created this digital scrapbook layout using elements from 52 Inspirations {2011}.  I converted it into a quick page and easy template. The elements are flattened so it's really not a "true" psd template but I layered it for you in case you wanted to add a background paper.  I also clustered the elements into a sweet frame! It's in my shop at Oscraps for just $1.00 until tomorrow!

Last night I was up way too late playing with my new digital scrapbook kit (Photographed in Black & White) and created this little wordart.

   

It's approx. 2.5 x 3.5 and you can scrapbook with it...but guess what!!!!! it also works as a text message photo!  All I did was email myself the photo and then downloaded it into my iphone photos! 

I give you permission to right click>save as to your computer (but I retain copyright of the design)  Feel free to use it for your scrapbook and/or art journal or even as a text message.

A Quick Page for my Friends!

A while back, my good friend Nina (of Ninascraps), created a quick page using products from "52 Inspirations 2011."  She is an amazing designer and has a very special way of putting a layout together magically. Nina is also a very generous person and she sent the quick page to me with a note to feel free to use it as I would like.  We decided to put it in the Oscraps shop as a free gift for all our friends.
